Srinagar, Nov 20: The Lieutenant Governor J&K Manoj Sinha said on Wednesday that elements spreading propaganda and inciting people against constitution of India won’t be spared unpunished.

He was speaking at inaugural ceremony of Joint Edition of Jammu Film Festival and The International Film Festival of Srinagar in Jammu.

“I believe that peace, vibrant film culture and economic prosperity are interconnected to each other. Elements who disturb peace in Jammu & Kashmir, are actually attempting to disturb peace and serenity of individuals,” Lieutenant Governor said.

The LG said that such elements should keep this thing in mind that their activities are under surveillance by law enforcement agencies, and added, “If these elements do not stop disturbing peace and nation’s sovereignty they will be taken to task sternly”.

“The constitution of India has given every citizen a right to express and vent, but this doesn’t mean the space will be violated and exploited. There is no scope for disseminating propaganda. Those involved in it will be dealt sternly under law,” Lieutenant Governor added.
