EasyJet launches two new 'popular' island destinations from Birmingham Airport

The airline has announced a 'bumper package' of 21 new routes from UK airports next summer.
It already operates flights from Birmingham to Fuerteventura and Tenerife, but has now added Gran Canaria to its Canary Islands offering. Services to the Spanish hotspot, known for its nice beaches, year-round sunshine and beautiful natural landscapes, will start in time for the May bank holidays on May 2, 2025.
Flights will take off on Mondays and Fridays, giving holidaymakers the option of a long weekend away or longer getaways. From June 3, EasyJet will also be starting new flights from BHX to a Mediterranean island famous for its stunning coastline and historical sites.

Flights to Malta will run twice per week on Tuesdays and Saturdays. EasyJet says the addition of two new routes 'shows the continuing strong demand from easyJet customers in the Midlands'.
Tickets are now available to book, with fares to both destinations starting from £40.99. Package holidays will also be available, with seven-night breaks starting from £408 to Gran Canaria and Malta from £692 per person, including flights, hotel and 23kg luggage.
Ali Gayward, EasyJet's UK country manager, said: "The addition of these popular island destinations, Gran Canaria and Malta, to our route map from Birmingham Airport provides our customers in the Midlands with more choice and great value when booking their European holidays next summer and we can't wait to welcome them onboard."
Tom Screen, aviation director at Birmingham Airport, said: "EasyJet has continually grown its destination list since its base launch in March and today adds Gran Canaria and Malta to the list. EasyJet now offers over 20 routes for summer 2025 ensuring a variety of destinations for customers available from their local airport."
