Arsenal vs Crystal Palace Carabao Cup quarter-final date confirmed as fixture reality clear
by Sam Truelove · football.londonThe date and time for Arsenal's Carabao Cup quarter-final clash against Crystal Palace has been confirmed.
The Gunners will play the Eagles for a place in the semi-finals of the competition next month, having already beaten Bolton Wanderers and Preston North End in the competition. The EFL confirmed on Wednesday that the quarter-final tie will be played on Wednesday, December 18, with kick-off at 7.30pm.
Interestingly, Arsenal Women were due to play Bayern Munich Women in the Women’s UEFA Champions League at Emirates Stadium on the same date. This tie now looks set to be moved to a different venue, however, with the club in contact with UEFA.
"We are liaising with UEFA, and further details regarding our UEFA Women’s Champions League match against Bayern Munich will be announced in due course," Arsenal said in a statement.
Arsenal's Carabao Cup tie with Crystal Palace means the Gunners will play seven fixtures in December. Before the cup clash they welcome Everton to Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday, December 14. Just three days after the quarter-final, the fixture is reversed as the Gunners travel to Selhurst Park for a league clash, with the game scheduled for 5.30pm on Saturday, December 21.

With Mikel Arteta's side involved in three competitions throughout December, it promises to be a hectic month for everyone associated to the Gunners. With the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea already knocked out of the Carabao Cup, the competition provides the north Londoners with an excellent chance of winning silverware this campaign.
"[The attitude was] very good,” Arteta said after the win over Preston last month. “We talked about that, about playing with enthusiasm in this game, playing with the right attitude and commitment and they certainly showed that so I’m very happy to be in the quarter-finals.”
