What’s Limping Patrick Mahomes Plan?
by Adam Schultz · The Fresno BeeThe Kansas City Chiefs moved to 13-1 on the season after taking care of the Cleveland Browns 21-7, and now attention can turn to the final stretch of the year for the defending Super Bowl champs.
With the Chiefs making a habit of winning despite not playing their best football, when they do finally click, it could spell trouble for the rest of the league. However, we feel like we have been saying that for the last two months, and yet Kansas City keeps grinding out wins.
But fans want to see the explosive offense return like in previous years, and with three games to go, the Chiefs can work their way toward that.
"We have good spurts offensively, I think defense is playing better and better, special teams are doing a great job," Mahomes said. "Offensively, we have spurts where we either start games fast or end games fast, it's about putting it all together, and we know that we're not playing the football that we want to be playing, but at the end of the day we want to win, and we're able to do that against a lot of good football teams."
The aim is to put it all together, and with playoff-caliber teams like the Texans, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Denver Broncos on the schedule, it will be a good test of the Chiefs' ability to play sound football before the playoffs begin.

Since the loss to Buffalo in Week 11, the Chiefs have rattled off four straight wins, and offensively, they haven't had a single turnover, which will make head coach Andy Reid happy.
Of course, as Patrick deals with his ankle sprain, we don't yet know how much he's going to be a part of the plan immediately.
This is the time of year when teams tune-up for the postseason, and the Chiefs, despite being 13-1, still have ample room for improvement.
Which they hope will come over the coming weeks.
