The event organisers, on behalf of the National Unity Ministry, said in a statement that Festival Anak Sarawak 2024 will highlight the culture and heritage of Sarawak’s various ethnic groups.
Themed “Understanding Sarawak’s Identity through Culture and Heritage”, the festival offers a variety of exciting activities, including arts and crafts exhibitions, traditional dance performances, as well competitions that allow participants and visitors to gain a deeper understanding of Sarawak’s cultural diversity.
It also seeks to increase awareness of Sarawak’s uniqueness among people in Peninsular Malaysia.

“Visitors will have the opportunity to try a variety of traditional Malaysian desserts from across the country, prepared by local entrepreneurs. The celebration will also feature demonstrations on making traditional desserts and a dessert-making competition to encourage community involvement in preserving heritage recipes that are slowly being forgotten,” said the statement.
