Global InfoAnlaytics has predicted that National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate John Mahama will win Ghana's 2024 general elections.
According to its final poll ahead of the December 2024 election, the NDC flagbearer is favoured over Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The data showed the NPP flagbearer in second place with 40.5% of the votes, followed by Nana Kwame Bediako with 4.7%, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen with 2.1%, and other candidates collectively garnering just 0.7%.
The poll, conducted between November 11 and 16, 2024, also indicated that while the race in the Greater Accra, Central, and Western swing regions had tightened, the NPP’s position in the Akan and Northern regions had deteriorated with less than three weeks to go.

According to the poll results, in those swing regions, Mahama led the race with 51.1%, followed by Bawumia with 39.5%, Nana Bediako with 7.0%, Kyerematen with 2.0%, and others with 0.4% combined.
In the Akan regions, Bawumia was indicated to have taken the lead with 46.6%, with Mahama close behind with 44.5% and other candidates earning less than 10% of the votes.
The data also showed that in the Northern regions, Mahama led again with 64.7% compared to 33.9% for Bawumia and 0.7% for both Kyerematen.
The gap widened even further in the Volta and Oti regions, where Mahama led with 72.7% ahead of Bawumia (19.7%), Bediako (3.3%), and Kyerematen (2.2%).
According to Global InfoAnalytics, Mahama also led in 13 regions of Ghana, while Dr Bawumia was projected to only claim three regions.
In the Akan regions, the former President appeared to have broken the NPP's dominance in their Ahafo and Bono strongholds.
The NDC flagbearer was also most preferred among floating voters and first-time voters, with 63% and 48% supporting him, respectively.
Bawumia team dismiss Mahama victory prophecies
YEN.com.gh reported that Dr Bawumia’s 2024 campaign team said it has no intention of allowing a few prophecies attempting to predict the winner of the December 7 polls to sway them.
This was in reaction to prophecies by some preachers that the NDC presidential candidate, John Mahama, would emerge victorious in Ghana's upcoming 2024 general elections.
Reacting to the prophecies, Anthony Karbo, a senior aide to Dr Bawumia, told Citi News that the so-called prophecies were mere predictions by preachers and not divine messages.
