Nagaland Pavilion at IITF New Delhi inaugurated
· Nagaland PageDimapur, November 16: A 14-days exhibition of handicraft and handloom products of Nagaland at Nagaland Pavilion, Hall No-3 at Bharat Mandapam (Pragati Maidan) in the ongoing India International Trade Fair (IITF), New Delhi was inaugurated on November 14 by Akali V Konghay, Joint Secretary & Legislative Counsel, Ministry of Law & Justice, Legislative Department, Govt, of India, New Delhi. The exhibition will conclude on November 27.
Officials from Thailand Pavilion, Manipur Pavilion also attended the inaugural function. 26 artisans are participating in the exhibition including Padma Shri awardee, Neihunuo Sorhie and other prominent artisans.
The chief guest, while interacting with the artisans, encouraged the participants to preserve and showcase our rich and vibrant handloom and handicraft through various exhibitions. She appreciated the initiative of the Government of Nagaland for giving a platform to the artisans to showcase their products.
K. Francis Hekavi, Pavilion Director, Nagaland Pavilion appreciated all the participants for their co-ordination with the Department and emphasized that not only products displayed and sold but also the courtesy shown to the visitors will highlight the image of Nagaland. (Page News Service)
